RAMNAGAR, Oct 13: Provincial president of the Youth National Conference (YNC), Jammu, Tejinder Pal Singh Aman today appealed to the youth of J&K to remain vigilant against menace of drug abuse.
He was speaking at one-day youth convention at Ramnagar in District Udhampur, organised by Akash Kharka District president YNC Udhampur Rural. The convention witnessed enthusiastic participation of the local youth.
During the interaction, the youth raised the long-standing demand for a local sports stadium and expressed serious concerns regarding rising unemployment. Responding to their issues, TP Singh Aman assured the gathering that he would take up these matters with Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma.
Another critical issue brought to light was the plight of flood-affected families in the area. Affected youth and locals sought relief and assistance for those severely impacted. Aman gave a firm assurance that he would personally convey these concerns to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Aman appealed to the youth to remain vigilant against the growing menace of drug abuse. He urged them to become torchbearers of social responsibility by extending a helping hand to flood-affected families in their area.
In a significant development, Aman handed over the nomination letter to the newly appointed Akash Kharka District president YNC Udhampur Rural. He advised to expedite the constitution of District bodies and Block committees to strengthen the YNC.
Ramparshotam Sharma District president Udhampur-R highlighted the achievements of the Government led by Omar Abdullah and said that for unemployed educated youth the Government has advertised various posts.
Nitish Goswami, Provincial vice president YNC Jammu, and Zameer Qureshi also spoke on the occasion.
