JAMMU, June 8: A young man today made an abortive attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Akhnoor.
According to a police spokesperson, the youth identified as Yashpal (25) son of Lal Chand, a resident of Akhnoor, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence following which he was shifted to a nearby Government hospital. However, later he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where his condition was stated to be stable.
However, it was not known why he took this extreme step. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
