JAMMU, Jan 11: A youth was killed while two others were injured after the motorcycle they were riding on skidded and hit a road divider on the Ring Road in the Miran Sahib area late Saturday evening, reportedly due to low visibility.
The accident occurred around 8:30 in the night when the bike, travelling from Chattha area towards Phallain Mandal, struck the divider near Miran Sahib.
Police said all three injured were rushed to Government Medical College Jammu for treatment, where one of them, identified as Abhishek Kumar, aged 22, son of Labha Ram of Malke Chak, Phallain Mandal in Jammu, was declared brought dead by doctors.
The other two injured youths were responding to treatment at the hospital when this report was filed.
Police have registered a case FIR number 07/2026 under the relevant sections of law at Police Station Miran Sahib and have started further investigation into the incident.
