JAMMU, Sept 6: A 20-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by jumping into River Tawi late last night.
“Around midnight of September 5, a young boy identified as Anil Kumar son of Bodh Raj, resident of Kaccha Talab, jumped into River Tawi from Gujjar Nagar bridge and received serious injuries.,” police sources here said.
They said the flying squad gypsy deployed in the area immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the seriously injured youth to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he expired today at about 7 pm.
Police said that the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for identification and post mortem while a case has been registered in this connection.
