RAJOURI, Jan 14: The police arrested a youth and recovered a small quantity of heroin like substance from his possession in Lamberi area of Rajouri today.
Reports said a police party from Police Post Lamberi during naka apprehended one person who was coming from Siot towards Lamberi. On noticing the police party, he attempted to flee the spot but was swiftly nabbed by the naka team.
During questioning the accused disclosed his identity as Sheraz Ahmed, son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Lah, in Behrot area of Thanamandi. During his personal search 03 grams of heroin-like narcotic substance was recovered from his possession.
In this regard a Case FIR No. 11/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowshera.
