SAMBA, Jan 31: A youth committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Gaghwal area of district Samba today.
A police spokesman said that 17-year-old Varinder Kumar, son of Narinder Kumar, resident of Sangwali in Gaghwal committed suicide by hanging from ceiling fan hook of his room early today. The family noticed him hanging and rushed him to local hospital where doctors declared him as dead. The police registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and started investigation. The immediate cause behind this extreme step could not be known.
