KATRA, Apr 2: Family members alleged murder of their 22-year old son who was found hanging under mysterious circumstances in forest area of Serli, near Katra, here today.
The deceased was identified as Kuldeep Singh, son of Shankar Singh (former president of Katra Auto Union), resident of Katra.
According to reports, Kuldeep had gone to Serli village on Wednesday evening and informed his family that he would stay there for the night. However, the family received shocking news on Thursday about his death after his body was found hanging in the forest area.
The bereaved family has alleged foul play, claiming that it was a case of murder and not suicide. They have demanded a fair and thorough investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the matter and registered a case at Police Station Katra. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the death.
