JAMMU, June 19: A Chattisgarh youth was found hanging today in Kanachak area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, Kanachak police received an information early this morning through its reliable sources that the dead body of person namely Deepak Kumar Yadav (20) son of Bali Ram, resident of Chhatisgarh (at present Malpur, Jammu) was hanging with a Mulberry tree in a field at Barn Malpur.
He said a police team immediately reached the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu where after getting conducted postmortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites. The official said that inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC had been initiated in this connection at police station Kanachak to ascertain reason of death.
