SAMBA, Feb 24: The body of a local youth was found lying near a stream between Majua and Yang villages under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh Police Station, triggering concern in the area.
The deceased was identified as Shaku, a resident of Yang village. According to family members, he had left home this morning to sell milk but failed to return, following which a search was launched.

During the search, his body was found at a short distance from his house near the stream. The matter was immediately reported to the police. A police team from Ramgarh reached the spot, took cognizance of the incident and shifted the body for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death.
Officials said that no major injury marks were visible on the body except for a few bruises, adding that the circumstances surrounding the death appear to be mysterious. After completion of legal formalities and postmortem examination, the body was handed over to the family for last rites.
Police have started inquest proceedings and further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death.
