RAJOURI, Nov 21: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kassi area on Rajouri-Darhal road, here today. However, the family members of the deceased alleged that the youth has been murdered.
As per police sources, at about 9:15 PM, a car bearing registration number JK11-3557 met with accident on Rajouri-Darhal road in which one youth identified as Waseem Raja, son of Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Sagrawat village of Darhal, presently residing at Kheora died on the spot.
The body of the deceased, which was initially taken to his home, was brought to district hospital Rajouri, where postmortem will be conducted tomorrow morning.
The family members and relatives of deceased alleged that some boys, who were accompanying their kin at the time of accident, had murdered him.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
When contacted, Additional SP Rajouri, Mohammad Yousuf said that they have started investigation into the death of the youth.
“We have also called the youth accompanying the deceased at the time of accident. But all the things, whether the youth was murdered or he died due to accident will be cleared after postmortem report”, he added.
