JAMMU, Oct 3: A 25-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Qasim Nagar area here today.
On the intervening night of October 2 and 3, one Lucky Raj son of Joginder Lal of Maira Mandrian, who worked as an electrician, was found in an unconscious state at Qasim Nagar area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu, a police official said.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where the attending doctors declared him dead on arrival, he said.
While the body of the deceased youth has been handed over to his legal heirs after conducting the post-mortem at the hospital, police have also initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the reasons behind his mysterious death.
