Youth Federation delegation meets Advisor Khan

JAMMU, Sept 7: A delegation comprising of State Executive Members of All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF) including Nakul Sharma, Ch Sanjay Singh Sandhu and Thakur Mandeep Singh met Farooq Khan, Advisor to Lt Governor M K Sinha at Canal Road, Jammu and presented representation pertaining to the issues of Pahari and Gujjar community.
AJKYF delegation on behalf of Pahari and Gujjar community highlighted the demand of including Pahari, Gojri and other largely spoken languages in the Jammu and Kashmir Official Languages Bill, 2020 which will be presented before the Parliament for carrying along the sentiments of large number of population.
AJKYF delegation also highlighted the demand of removing the income slab of Rs 8 lakhs fix for issuance of Pahari people certificate like that of SC, ST and other categories and also demaned for easier process of issuance of Pahari speaking certificate with shortest time frame.
Advisor to Lt Governor, Farooq Khan assured youth federation delegation that their demands will be considered and will be recommend to the higher authorities.
