POONCH, July 8: A youth was killed after he fell down from a moving bus in Chandimarh area of Surankote early today while three persons from Kashmir were injured in a car accident near Chhatapani on Mughal Road this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that 31-year-old Manzoor Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Bonikhet fell down from a moving bus near Chandimarh on Mughal Road late last evening. The bus bearing registration No. JK02K/ 7195 was on way to Surankote from Chandimarh. The injured was rushed to Surankote Hospital but he succumbed to injuries early today. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after postmortem today. The police has taken cognizance of the matter. The bus driver was said to be absconding.
Meanwhile, an Alto car No. JK03/0851 which was on way to Shahdara Sharief (Rajouri) from Anantnag in Kashmir met with an accident at Shikargah near Chhatapani on Mughal Road this afternoon. All the three persons on board were injured in mishap and were shifted to Surankote Hospital by police. One of them, namely Manzoor Ahmed Lone, resident of Gund in Anantnag was said to be serious. The condition of two other pilgrims was said to be stable.
