JAMMU, May 12: In the wake of the critical situation in Jammu following the recent Pakistan attack, Youth Congress volunteers mobilized and carried out an emergency blood donation drive at GMC, here today.
The drive was organized under the direction of Youth Congress (IYC) president Uday Bhanu Chib, JKPYC Incharge Maan Singh Rathore and general secretary Anirudh Sawhney.
The blood donated was received by Youth Congress, general secretary Anirudh Sawhney for a patient in dire need at Government Medical College (GMC).
This swift action by the youth team emphasized their commitment to public service, especially in moments when every second counts.
Speaking on the matter, Anirudh Sawhney said, “The youth congress is guided by a sense of social responsibility and moral duty. Particularly during this critical time, we want to fill any gaps that may be there and lend any support that may be required of us.”
He thanked the volunteers for blood donation and said their actions demonstrated that there is value in meaningful deeds carried out when society needs them the most.
This initiative is not a one-off event, but part of a larger commitment that the Youth Congress continues to uphold. Regular participation in relief efforts, health camps and other welfare activities.
Their proactive involvement in emergency situations, including medical needs, shows the importance they place on community engagement and public welfare.
Such efforts also help bridge the gap between political representatives and the common man, reaffirming that youth-led political bodies can be agents of real change.
As the Youth Congress continues to work tirelessly for the people, it reaffirms its role as a vital pillar of support and hope for many, especially in times of crisis.
Among the volunteers who led the noble cause included Dr Suhaib Manhas, Anmol Kohli and Raghav Sawhney.
