JAMMU, Mar 11: J&K Youth Congress took out a candle march in Jammu this evening to protest the killing of three persons in Billawar area of Kathua district by terrorists.
The march was led by J&K Youth Congress general secretary Anirudh Sawhney, accompanied by Adv Ranjoth Singh, vice president JKPYC, Happy Randhawa Chairman Research Deptt, Ricky Dalotra and others.
It began from CPO Chowk and culminated at Kacchi Chawni Chowk. The youth Congress activists were carrying candles in hands to lodge their protest and show concern over the innocent killings.
The members criticized the Centre for its security failure and loss of civilian lives in terror attacks. Holding placards that demanded justice for the victims and immediate government action, the protesters voiced their disappointment over the deteriorating security situation in the region through the peaceful march. The Youth Congress members and locals who joined the march expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
Speaking on the occasion Sawhney stated that the Youth Congress stands in complete solidarity with the families of the victims and all those who have suffered due to this tragic incident. He said that the march was started by offering prayers for the families of the three innocent youth who lost their lives in Kathua. Randhawa also addressed the gathering.
Congress and Youth Congress leaders including Nageshwar Narayan, Surinder Kumar, Atul Sharma, Akhil Bhogia, Tanveer Singh, Rishab Kohli, Anmol Kohli, Madhu Bharadwaj, Mehul Abrol, Harsh, Gokul, Karmanya, Tanish, Ansh, Sardari Lal Bitti, and others participated in the candle march.
