KATHUA, July 17: One youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in the village Chackdessa Singh falling under the jurisdiction of Kathua Police Station late last night.
He has been identified as Chotu, 22, son of Balwant Raj of Chackdessa Singh. His body was shifted by the family members to District Hospital Kathua where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body was handed over to family by police today for last rites. Kathua Police has registered a case under Section 174 CRPC and started investigation.
