UDHAMPUR, Sept 8: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Dandyal, here today..
The deceased was identified as 22 -year-old Arun Kumar Sharma, son of Sat Paul Sharma of Dandyal, near CEO office Udhampur. He consumed some poisonous substance at his residence and fell unconscious. The family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body was sent for postmortem while Police registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, one Bansi Lal (45), son of Shanku Ram of Chenani, A/P Dandyal Udhampur, was also admitted at District Hospital Udhampur after he consumed some local made liquor. Later he was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
