JAMMU, July 8: A youth has been arrested for kidnapping a minor girl.
As per police sources, on July 5 this year, a complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Station Janipur stating that her minor daughter has been kidnapped by a youth identified as Amit, son of Arun Kumar, a resident of High Court Road Janipur.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 70/2022 under section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Janipur rescued the kidnapped minor girl and arrested the abductor.
The girl was handed over to family members after medical examination.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
