Warn nationwide agitation

JAMMU, Jan 22: Accusing the Government of open betrayal and systematic dishonouring of commitments, Youth 4 Panun Kashmir, (Y4PK), today announced the formation of the MahaAbhiyan Sangarsh Samiti, for a sustained, structured and escalating struggle for the rights of over five lakh displaced Pandits from Valley.
This was announced at a joint press conference here, today by Youth 4 PK leaders including Rahul Kaul, Vithal Choudhary, Digamber Raina and others. They said a nationwide resistance platform that will unite Kashmiri Hindu organisations, civilizational forces and nationalist voices has been formed. They said that if denial, deception and evasion continue, the agitation will intensify, the movement will expand beyond Jammu, and the struggle will march to Delhi and across the nation. The responsibility for any escalation and its consequences will rest entirely with those in authority who have chosen to dishonour public assurances and suppress legitimate Constitutional and civilizational demands.
The Y4PK leaders said during the recent four day long MahaAbhiyan Avavahan a peaceful highway protest was held at Nagrota and ADC, Jammu Anusuya Jamwal, in the presence of the assembled community, gave a public assurance that a meeting with the Lieutenant Governor would be arranged. This assurance was given despite the community’s unequivocal stand that the Lieutenant Governor should visit to Jagti Camp and address the people directly. That public commitment has now been brazenly violated. No meeting was arranged, no visit took place and no communication followed. This is not an administrative lapse but a deliberate breach of trust, reflecting a continuing pattern of deception and marginalisation of a genocide-survivor community, and confirming that public promises are being used merely as instruments of delay and deflection.
Maintaining that MahaAbhiyan Aavahan was not an isolated event; they said it was the ignition of a decisive national movement. The Kashmiri Hindu community will no longer accept symbolic gestures or empty words. It will secure its rights, protect its roots, preserve its heritage and reclaim its Homeland strictly in accordance with the Margdarshan Resolution, 1991. To attain the goal in this regard The Sangarsh (struggle) has now started, they added.
