Young woman murdered

RAJOURI, July 7:  A young housewife was found murdered under mysterious circumstances at Aiti, near Fatehpur in district Rajouri early today.
The deceased has been identified as Kouser Begum (22), wife of Wazarat Iqbal, resident of  Nainsukh Aiti near Fatehpur in district Rajouri. She was married to one Wazarat Iqbal,  hardly 13 days back and hailed from village Kallar near Chingus in district Rajouri. She was second wife of Wazarat while his first wife had died, leaving behind four children.
The woman was found dead just near her husband’s house at Aiti at around 3.30 am. She was sleeping with minor daughter of  Wazarat from first marriage, in an adjoining room last night. Her cousin and a real brother had also come to their sister’s house last night from Kallar. She went mysteriously missing from her house during night. At around 3.30 am the husband noticed and he started searching for her. He also informed other members. Kouser, daughter of Makhan Din was found murdered near a maize field about 50 mt away from husband’s house.
Her throat had been slit and there was another deep cut on the arm near her hand with some sharp edged weapon. She was lying in a pool of blood on the ground. The family members rang up Rajouri Police Station.  The police party rushed to the spot and after examining spot shifted the body to District Hospital, Rajouri for postmortem. The police said that it was clear case of murder and an FIR No. 380/2014 has  been registered in this connection. The police has also taken two persons into custody for questioning including husband of the deceased. The mystery could not be unfolded so far but the police was working on all the angles. The police said that call details of the woman are also being studied and some clues collected are being examined. Wazarat had some horses and he used to carry sand and ‘bajri’ from the nearby river for construction purpose in the area to earn livelihood for his family.
