UDHAMPUR, Oct 29: A 23-year-old man was found dead on the railway track in Baryal Village of Udhampur district today, officials said.

Some passerby noticed Rinku Sharma son of Girdhari Lal of Bindla Village in Ghordi Block of Udhampur district lying on the railway track under suspicious circumstances at Baryal Village and informed the police, they said.
Accordingly, he was shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, officials said.
According to them, police have initiated inquest proceedings under sections 194 of the BNSS to ascertain the exact cause of the death of the young man.
