RAJOURI, Jan 28: In a tragic road accident, a young man lost his life on the spot when a speeding truck hit his Scooty near Narian this evening.
The deceased has been identified as Suksham Gupta, son of Tilak Raj Gupta, a resident of Ward No. 12, Chatti Gali, Rajouri City.
The Scooty, bearing registration number JK11F-6601, was struck by a truck whose driver fled the scene immediately after the incident. Local authorities and witnesses rushed to the site, but unfortunately, the victim had succumbed to his injuries.
PSI Sunil Sharma of Police Post, Chingus informed that police teams are actively working to locate and apprehend the truck driver.
The body of the deceased has been shifted for postmortem to nearby hospital A case has been registered in connection with the accident.
