RAMBAN, Feb 24: A young lady here today got killed of electrocution when she accidently touched an electric pole in Ludho, Neel area of Ramsu.
Police sources informed that Kulsuma Begum, 32, wife of Gulzar Ahmed Sheikh, resident of Gugwani, Neel, Sub Division Ramsu was found dead near an electric pole.
She had gone out to collect firewood for domestic use.
SHO Police Station Ramsu, Inspector Nayeem Matoo said after post-mortem and other legal formalities at PHC Ukhral the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
Locals of the area said that power transmission cables passing through the area are connected with branches of green standing trees and held JPDCL responsible for death of the woman.
