UDHAMPUR, July 15: Mystery shrouded the death of a young housewife who was found hanging from a tree near the house of her in-laws at village Moungri in Pancheri, here last evening.
The deceased was identified as Taro Devi (25), wife of Kulbir Singh, resident of Basnote, Tehsil Moungri, District Udhampur.
She was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances. On being informed by some locals, a team from Police Station Pancheri, led by SHO Parshotam Kumar rushed to the spot and shifted the body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem.
Pancheri Police have registered a case in this connection and started further investigation for ascertaining the cause of apparent suicide.
