SAMBA, Oct 16: A 25-year-old youth lost his life in a tragic road accident near Rakh Amb Tali area of Samba on Thursday night.
According to reports, the deceased, identified as Anil Singh, S/o Krishan Singh, R/o Paloora, Samba, was riding his motorcycle when he was suddenly hit by an unknown tractor-trolley. The collision left him seriously injured.
Local residents, along with police, immediately rushed Anil to the District Hospital, Samba, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The tractor driver fled the spot after the incident, abandoning the vehicle. The body has been kept in the hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. Police have taken cognizance of the matter and launched an investigation to trace the absconding driver and ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
