UDHAMPUR, July 25: In a tragic incident, a 26 -year- old boy and a buffalo died due to electric shocks at village Bapali Thanova in Udhampur district today.
According to reports, Vinod Kumar, son of Late Om Parkesh, resident of village Bapli in Udhampur, went to bring his buffalo back from the nearby fields in the morning. Both of them got trapped in the live electric wire which had been broken from the poll and fell on the ground.
They received severe electric shocks and burns. The family and the villagers rushed to the site and shifted the youth to the hospital at Udhampur. They also informed PDD staff about the falling down of the live electric wire.
While the buffalo was killed on the spot, the youth succumbed to the injuries during treatment in the hospital. The police registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
