Yasin Malik’s affidavit exposes Cong’s dealings with terrorists: Tarun Chugh

JAMMU Sept 19: BJP national general secretary and In-charge of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Tarun Chugh, today tore into the Congress, National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after separatist, Yasin Malik’s affidavit exposed shocking details of how the Congress-led UPA Government once used him to meet India’s most wanted terrorists.
Chugh said Yasin Malik, the murderer of Air Force officers and countless innocent people, has himself admitted that he was in negotiations with dreaded terrorists like Hafiz Saeed at the behest of the Congress leadership. Chugh said this affidavit has blown the cover off the UPA’s double games, where on the one hand the country was bleeding under terror attacks and on the other hand, the Congress was busy laying out red carpets for separatists.
Chugh added that between 2004 and 2014 the Congress treated terrorists like stakeholders, but today under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s Government the era of appeasement has ended. “Today the same terrorists and their agents are behind bars, facing the full force of Indian law. Prime Minister, Modi’s Government has shown that terrorists deserve jail and not red carpets and photo shoots,” Chugh said.
Hitting out at Rahul Gandhi, Chugh said, “The nation wants to know what your party was conspiring when bombs were exploding across the country. This affidavit reveals the dirty secret games the Congress was playing with terrorists, even as the blood of innocents was being shed in Jammu & Kashmir.”
Chugh reminded that this was not the first betrayal by the Congress. Since 1948 the Nehru-Gandhi family imposed Himalayan blunders on Jammu & Kashmir. It was Congress which forced Article 370 and 35A on the nation, creating a State within a State. Chugh said because of such crimes by Congress, Kashmiri Pandits were made refugees in their own country.
He further added that the arrest of Sheikh Abdullah followed by his overnight appointment as Chief Minister by Pandit Nehru was the biggest conspiracy against India’s sovereignty in Kashmir. “It was a betrayal against the people of India and a lesson in how Congress consistently sided with those who undermined the nation,” Chugh said.
Slamming NC and PDP, Chugh said both parties have always echoed Pakistan’s propaganda in the Valley and joined hands with separatists who wanted to spill innocent blood.
