JAMMU, Oct 11: Eminent translator and senior Dogri literaturer Yashpaul Nirmal has been announced to be awarded with the prestigious “Dr Gargi Gupta Dwivagish” Award for the year 2023-24, given by the Bhartiya Anuvad Parishad, New Delhi, for his significant contribution in the field of translation literature in Hindi – Dogri – Hindi languages.
This information was shared by the General Secretary of Bhartiya Anuvad Parishad, New Delhi, Dr Puran Chand Tandon through a press release.
This award will be given to Yashpaul Nirmal in the upcoming award distribution ceremony organized in New Delhi, in which Yashpaul Nirmal will be awarded with the prize money of Rs 21000/-, shawl, citation, memento and unforgettable honour.
Yashpaul Nirmal started writing in the year 1994 and in the year 1995, he translated Shrimad Bhagwat Purana into Dogri language. He started writing children’s literature in 1992. So far, 9 of his children’s literature books have been published and translated into languages across the country.
