POONCH, June 23: Youth Association for Service of Humanity and Nation (YASHN) on the eve of coming Eid-ul-Fitr, distributed essentials among the poor and orphans of the Poonch in presence of District Administration here today.
A function in this connection was held here in which many volunteers participated. Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tariq Zarger, Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch, Rajiv Panday and Commander of 93 Infantary Brigade, Brig AK Pandarker attended the function. The DC, SSP, Army Commander and chairman of the NGO Imtiaz Slaria distributed more than 100 ration kits including pulses and edible oil among the poor and orphans.
Chairperson of the NGO, Mr Salaria said that Eid is an occasion of celebration among all but poor and orphans could not celebrate due to lack of resources. He said that youth association took the initiative to celebrate this Eid with such people. He said that people should generously donate their ‘Zakaat’ to such people so that they could also celebrate Eid. Food items and clothes among other commodities were distributed among poor.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included Jhangir Khan Tehsildar Haveli, Pardeep Khanna, Prof Fateh Mohd Abasi, Prof Amjed Ali Babar, Advocate Iftakar Bazmi, Saber Hussain, Ibrar Akhter, Imran Ganai,TarunTandon, Mohit Sharma,Mohd Asad, Tariq Hussain, Manzor Hussain, Asif Mir and Imatiaz Hussain.
