JAMMU, Mar 11: BJP spokesperson JK UT and former president Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Y V Sharma today dismissed the statement of Kashmir based politicians that the present BJP Government has not ended the Dil se Doori and Dilli se Doori for the Kashmiri people as was announced by Prime Minster, Narendra Modi.
In a statement issued here, today Y V Sharma asserted that the development in J&K UT during last two and half years have brought a sea change in the lives of the people. Various schemes launched by the Government have proved boon for the people of J&K, he added.
Sharma said Panchyat and Local Bodies elections have been held quite peacefully and people from both the regions Jammu as well Kashmir have taken part in large numbers. Security scenario has completely changed and people are indulging in their day to day activities without fear and anti national activities have come to a grant halt.
He said the Kashmiri leaders, who have used the people as pawns by arousing their emotions and had practically nothing for their betterment during the long tenure of their power are feeling dejected and frustrated by the fast pace of development in the UT. Hence they are giving vent to their defeatest mentality because support of the masses is vanishing quickly, he added.
