JAMMU, Nov 7: Screening test of wrestlers of J&K Wrestling Association (Men/Women) was conducted by screening committee of J&K State Sports Council and J&K Wrestling Association, under the chairmanship of Rajan Sharma, Sports Officer J&K Sport Council, here today.
The members of J&K Wrestling Association present on the occasion were Ajay Vaid, general secretary, Raju Sharma, Swaran Lal, joint secretary, Deeraj Sharma, Sahil Sharma (Coach), Ravinder Pahalwan, Jai Bharat (Coach), Om Parkash and Amit Badgotra.
18 wrestlers including 13 men and 5 women were selected for the participation of 59th Senior (Men) and 17th (Women) National Wrestling Championship to be held at Nandni Nagar, Gonda (UP) from November 13 to 16, 2014.
The wrestlers who were selected for the National Championship had undergone 21 days intensive coaching at MA Stadium Jammu conducted by J&K Wrestling Association. The selected wrestlers included Sunny Bansotra, Narinder, Bhushan Mehra, Kumar Vashist, Sunny Sharma, Shammi Kumar, Kasim Din, Rajesh Sharma, Pankaj, Nisar Ahmad, Bhadur Khan, Ishaq Ahmad, Mohd Asif, Daler Khan, Ekta, Eligabeth, Nisha Sharma, Sadaf and Roshan Bakshi.
