NEW DELHI: China’s Ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui on Wednesday said the challenges faced by the people of India and China were similar and that the world will become a better place if people of both countries enjoy a better life.
In the preface of the new edition of the Chinese embassy magazine, based on relations between the two countries, launched by him at a function here, Mr Zhaohui emphasised on improving the relations and contacts between the citizens of the Republic of China and India .
”Chinese people are pursuing the ‘Chinese Dreams’ and resolutely moving towards the goal of building a moderately prosperous society (Xiaokang). Indian people are building a ‘New India’. It’s my conviction that the ‘Chinese Dream’ and ‘New India Dream’ are intimately intertwined and to realise these dreams the two countries need to work closely and partner on an entire gamut of developmental challenges and aspirations. When the people of China and India enjoy a better life, the whole world would become a better place,” he said. (AGENCIES)
