JAMMU, Sept 25: Jammu and Kashmir Government Pharmacist Association, Jammu celebrated World Pharmacist Day under the Presidentship of Sushil Sudan State President JKGPA and Member of Pharmacy Council of India.
The chief guest of the programme was Sham Lal Sharma, Vice President BJP and former Health Minister, while Dr Bharat Bhushan Deputy Medical Superintendent GMC Jammu was the guest of honour.
This special day was established by International Pharmaceutical Federation. This Year theme developed by International Pharmaceutical Federation was “Pharmacy: Always trusted for your Health”. The theme of World Pharmacist day emphasis that pharmacist are a trusted source of knowledge and advice, not only for patient but for other healthcare professional for every patient who walks to a pharmacy, Pharmacist ensure that the right medicine is provided at the right Patient , right doses and right route. Every year three million Pharmacists around the world acts as partner to patients and serve to the suffering humanity around the world.
Sham Lal Sharma Ex-Minister shared his valuable experiences with the pharmacists and also extended his best wishes to all pharmacist of UT of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh hoping that they will continue to serve the society with great zeal and dedication.
Jarnail Singh, RP Singh, Kamal Jit Sawhney, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, Dharminder Singh, Shaffkat Hussain, Madan Lal, Daleep Choudhary, Yougal Bakshi, Anil Khajuria, Mahesh Sharma, Ved Paul Saini, Pawan Kumar, Romesh Choudhary, Kuldeep Singh, Pavitar Singh, Ashwani Kumar and Mahesh Sharma addressed the gathering and projected their demands and gave valuable suggestions for the betterment of pharmacist category.
Sushi Sudan urged the pharmacists to serve the suffering humanity with great zeal and zest and always stand for the patient help.
