JAMMU, Mar 27: Central Sanskrit University Kot Bhalwal today concluded a workshop on Saral Manak Sanskrit sponsored by Indian Language Committee (Ministry of Education) and organized by the University in the various colleges of Jammu region.
The last workshop was organized today at Government Women’s College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. On the occasion, Province Organization Minister of Sanskrit Bharati, Rishi Kumar in his keynote said that Sanskrit is the only language which can be called a scientific language as it is written in the same way as it is spoken. Only by giving a simple form to the complexities of Sanskrit language can the ancient Indian culture be made easy to the common people.
Special guest, Dr SP Saraswat, Principal of the College, said that Sanskrit is a rich ancient language which is also called the language of the gods. “There is a need to spread this language among people through simple methods, only then this language will become popular in India,” he added.
In his presidential address, Director Incharge of the Central Sanskrit University Ranbir campus, Prof Satish Kumar Kapoor said that Sanskrit is the basis of the Indian knowledge system which is being promoted in the National Education Policy-2020.
Workshop coordinator Dr Rajkumar Mishra said that the objective of this workshop is to present various aspects of Sanskrit in a simple manner and to discuss the methods of learning easily.
The workshop was started with Vedic invocation of Saraswati Vandana. The welcome address was presented by Dr Vijender Sharma, Head of the Sanskrit Department of Women’s College, Gandhi Nagar. The workshop was conducted in four sessions in which all the participants were given information about the nature and implementation of Saral Manak Sanskrit by Dr Khemnarayan Regmi and Dr Tejanath Paudel.
Dr Gopal Verma, Kamal Kishore, Maninder Singh, Dr Praveen Kumar and Dr Ashish Kumar were present in the workshop. Technical support was provided by Manoj Abrol.
