JAMMU, Jan 10: A month long theatre workshop was today inaugurated at the Department of Hindi, University of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Parmeshwari Sharma said that aim of the workshop is to teach students the techniques of stage and presentation style besides enabling the students to increase their basic understanding about the drama techniques. The workshop will also help students to explore their inherent talent by doing it practically, she added and informed that Drama and its Stage Craft is being taught in M A fourth Semester.
The month-long workshop will be conducted by young theatre director Ifra Kak and will culminate with the performance of production “Jis Lahore Nahin Vekheya O Jameyaai Nahin”.
Department of Hindi had organized the same workshop in the month of February 2013 where students of the Department staged the play “Ek Aur Dhronacharya”.
