Workshop on Cyber Safety organized

JAMMU, Feb 10: On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, a workshop on Cyber Safety and Responsible Internet Usage, organized by the Department of Computer Applications, GCW Parade was held here today.
The workshop was organized to create awareness among students about safe and secure online practices.
The session was conducted by distinguished resource persons Vikas Razdan, Head, State e-Governance Mission Team, working with the Ministry of Electronics & IT, Government of India and Manpreet Singh, Consultant, State e-Governance Mission Team.
The experts shared their valuable insights on topics such as cyber threats, digital privacy, online fraud prevention, safe social media practices, and responsible digital behavior.
The workshop proved highly informative and beneficial for both students and faculty members.
Dr Ravinder Kumar Tickoo, Principal of the College appreciated the sincere efforts of the department for organizing such a meaningful and awareness-driven program and emphasized the importance of conducting more activities focused on digital literacy and cyber safety.
Among others who were present during the function included faculty members of Computer Application Deptt Prof Rakesh Kumar, Antriksh Sehgal, Nidhi, Ankita Kangotra, Bhanu Priya and Akshay Jandial.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Prof Sujat Khan.
