JAMMU, Sept 1: One day workshop-cum-interaction programme on Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme and jamabandi preparation and inspection was organized at the Revenue Training Institute, here.
Rifat Kohli, Regional Director, Survey and Land Records Jammu inaugurated the workshop in presence of Kusum Sharma, Principal Revenue Training Institute Jammu, Assistant Settlement Officer Jammu, SDMs, Tehsildars and Dr Rana Singh, Senior Manager, Ramtech Software Solutions Private Limited.
At the outset, Regional Director, Survey and Land Records Jammu Rifat Kohli informed the participants about the importance of digitization of the revenue records in the State. The project envisages transparency and clarity in the title of the land holders, which will ultimately minimize the land disputes.
She acquainted the participants with various components of the project.
Dr Rana Singh presented a power point presentation with regard to the objectives of the Digital Indian Land Records Modernization Programme. He acquainted the participants about the way in which the project will be carried out in J&K.
In the end, Assistant Settlement Officer Jammu presented vote of thanks.
