JAMMU, May 27: A one day workshop on ‘BEd – New Curriculum’ was organized by Department of Education, University of Jammu, which was attended by 100 participants from Government College of Education and other B Ed colleges of Jammu, affiliated to JU.
Prof Renu Nanda, Head of the Department, in her welcome address, focused on regular upgradation and improvement of BEd curriculum according to the changing trends in education and society at large.
Prof Mubarak Singh, Convener Board of Studies in Teacher Education, emphasized on making BEd curriculum of a standardized nature.
There was a discussion on internship and sessional work of second, third and fourth semester of BEd, including project work which was followed by open discussion. Prof Rajiv Rattan Sharma focused on practicability of B Ed curriculum.
Other faculty members present on the occasion, were Prof Darshana Sharma, Dr Sushanta Panda, Dr. Kajal Manhas, Minakshi Chaudhary, Dr Niharika Panda and Dr Mohan Galgotra.
