JAMMU, Aug 18: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta today stated that he is working with full dedication and honesty to make Ladakh a major tourist hub of the country.
Kavinder Gupta was addressing during a function, which was organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP).
The programme was organized under the leadership of BVP general secretary Dinesh Gupta and attended by prominent members of the Parishad along with dignitaries from various walks of life.
Speaking on the occasion, LG Kavinder Gupta also announced that a new road connectivity route from Ladakh to Shri Amarnath Ji is going to be ready soon, which will significantly boost pilgrimage as well as tourism in the region.
Highlighting Kavinder Gupta’s achievements, Dinesh Gupta lauded his illustrious public life spanning over four decades.
He recalled his rise from grassroots politics to becoming thrice the Mayor of Jammu, Speaker of the J&K Legislative Assembly and Deputy Chief Minister of the erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir.
He emphasized that Gupta’s clean image, accessibility and people-centric approach have earned him immense goodwill and made him the right choice for the constitutional responsibility of Lt. Governor of Ladakh.
“The Union Territory of Ladakh will undoubtedly benefit from his vast administrative experience, vision, and integrity,” he remarked.
Other speakers, including Neeraj Anand, president of Chamber of Traders Federation and Arun Sharma, regional joint secretary, also extended their greetings and highlighted the hope that Ladakh will progress under Gupta’s leadership.
