SAMBA, Nov 17: A 24-year-old worker was today found dead under suspicious circumstances at a unit in Phase 3 of the industrial area.
The incident came to light in the morning when employees of Unique Engineer Industry arrived for duty and noticed one of their colleagues lying in a suspicious state.
Alarmed by the situation, they immediately informed the police.
A police team reached the spot, took the body into custody and shifted it to the District Hospital Samba for medico-legal formalities.
After the post-mortem was conducted, the body was handed over to the deceased’s family for last rites.
The worker has been identified as Jamayat Kumar, 24 yrs old, S/o Joginder Pal, R/o Amwala Village, Tehsil Ramkot, District Kathua.
Police have taken cognizance of the case and initiated further investigation to ascertain the cause of death.
