Mahila Morcha holds meet

JAMMU, Jan 16: An organizational introductory meeting of the newly appointed office bearers of BJP JKUT Mahila Morcha, along with the monthly organizational review meeting, was held at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing unity, commitment, and collective resolve to strengthen the organization.
The meeting was chaired by Sat Sharma, president, BJP Jammu & Kashmir and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), and was organized under the leadership of Neha Mahajan, president, BJP Mahila Morcha.
Addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma asserted that BJP Mahila Morcha is not merely an organizational wing but a powerful force driving the party’s nationalist vision and people-centric governance at the grassroot. He said that women activists are at the forefront of BJP’s ideological battle, countering divisive politics and strengthening the party’s connect with families, society, and marginalized sections.
Sat Sharma emphasized that the empowerment of women within the organization directly translates into political empowerment of society, and under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, women have emerged as decisive stakeholders in governance and nation-building.
He said that BJP is the only political party that has given women real leadership, dignity, and decision-making power, unlike parties that used women merely as vote banks.
Calling upon the newly appointed office bearers, Sat Sharma asked them to take BJP’s vision of development, nationalism, and social justice to every household. He stressed that Mahila Morcha must remain organizationally disciplined, ideologically firm, and politically active, working from booth to state level.
In her address, Neha Mahajan, president Mahila Morcha expressed confidence in the newly constituted team. She also briefed the party leadership about the programmes and organizational activities already conducted by the Mahila Morcha, highlighting their outreach and impact. She reaffirmed the commitment of BJP Mahila Morcha towards women empowerment, social responsibility, and strengthening the party’s presence at the grassroot level.
The meeting was attended by Mahila Morcha Prabhari, Seh-Prabhari, the entire newly constituted State office bearers team, newly appointed district presidents and district general secretaries, along with all Mandal presidents from across the Jammu and Kashmir.
The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Urvashi Gupta, general secretary, Mahila Morcha.
