RAJOURI, Oct 12: The dead body of a middle-aged woman was found hanging, under mysterious circumstances, in upper Kandi area of tehsil Kotranka today.
Reports said body of Taqseem Begum (40 yrs), wife of Mohd Yousaf, resident of upper Kandi, Tehsil Kotranka, in district Rajouri, was found hanging from the ceiling hook of her in-laws’ house today.
After receiving information, SHO Kotranka, Rajveer Singh, along with his team promptly reached the spot. The police examined the picked-up circumstantial evidence and shifted the body to the hospital for physical examination and postmortem.
Following the postmortem, the body was handed over to the family. SHO assured the local community that a thorough and proper investigation will be conducted to determine the cause and circumstances which led to the death of woman.
Meanwhile, the police launched inquest proceedings to ascertain the cause of death.
