UDHAMPUR, Aug 23: In a tragic accident, a woman along with her young son lost their lives while her husband was seriously injured when the car, they were travelling in, rammed into a roadside parapet near Hanuman Mandir at Mand on the Udhampur National Highway, here today.

According to the reports, the car bearing registration number JKO2CH- 5448, was coming from Jammu towards Udhampur when it met with the accident, resulting into critical injuries to Abdul Kabir Zargar (61) of Samina, Kishtwar, a retired employee of NHPC, who was travelling in the car along with his wife and son.
Locals and police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where the woman was declared as brought dead.
In view of serious condition of the injured, both father and son were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu where the later also succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased were identified as Shafiqa Bani (52), wife of Abdul Kabir Zargar and Ashif Kabir (30), son of Abdul Kabir Zargar.
According to Police, Abdul Kabir Zargar is undergoing treatment at the GMC Hospital Jammu and his condition was stated to be stable.
