SAMBA, June 30: A woman lost her life while her husband sustained injuries after their scooty was hit by a truck in Bari Brahmana area this afternoon.
A truck (JK14K-4063) hit a scooty (JK02CC-6296) near Shree Aum Hospital in Bari Brahamana area this afternoon, a police official said.
He said both the rider and pillion were immediately rushed to Shree Aum Hospital, where doctors declared the woman brought dead.
She has been identified as Parshotma Kumari (57), wife of Mohan Lal, both residents of RS Pura.
According to police official, Mohan Lal is undergoing treatment for his injuries.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Bishnah and started further investigation into the matter.
