JAMMU, Apr 21: A woman was killed while four others were injured in road accidents at different locations.
As per reports, a couple was seriously injured, when the scooty they were riding on was hit by an unknown vehicle near Barnai falling under the jurisdiction of Domana police station.
The duo was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where doctors declared Pooja Devi, wife of Vicky Kumar of Barnai as brought dead.
The condition of deceased’s husband was stated to be critical, when last reports came in.
In another incident, 32 years-old Phool Jahan, wife of Iqbal Khan of Uttar Pradesh, presently residing at Chowadhi, Sainik Colony was hit by a car near Sainik Colony.
She was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
Meanwhile, 51-year-old Suresh Kumari, wife of Jagdev Singh of Karangi, tehsil Akhnoor was injured after being hit by a bus at Akhnoor.
The victim was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor and was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be out of danger, when last reports came in.
In another incident, 30-year-old Darshana Devi, wife of Swaran of Bawetalab was injured when a motorcycle hit her at Bawetalab.
She was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Cases under relevant Sections stands registered at concerned police stations and investigation started.
