JAMMU, Nov 16: A woman was killed after porch of a house collapsed today in Sarwal area here.
As per police sources, a woman identified as Sumitra Mahant, wife of Param Dass, a resident of Chattisgarh, at present Vikas Nagar Sarwal District Jammu was killed after porch of a house collapsed today in Sarwal area. The deceased was a labourer, who was buried under the debris.
Locals immediately started rescue efforts but the woman died in the incident.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Sarwal Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
