RAJOURI, Mar 12: A woman allegedly jumped into a deep pond at village Kallar in Chingus area of Rajouri district and committed suicide last evening.
The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old, Ghulam Fatima, wife of Mohd Jameel, resident of Ward No. 5, Dehri Galla, Sawni in Chingus. The police said according to her relatives , the woman was mentally disturbed and she had made similar attempts in the past as well.
She had gone to the house of her daughter- Salma Kouser , wife of Sikander Hussain at Kallar village. She allegedly jumped into the village pond and drowned. The villagers fished out body and police later shifted it to the Rajouri hospital for postmortem. The police has started investigation into the case.
