JAMMU, Feb 19: A 25-year old woman was injured in an accidental fire at her residence in Nai Basti area falling under the limits of Gandhi Nagar police station.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Meena Gorkha wife of Bhagat Ram, a resident of Nai Basti near Gandhi Nagar, was injured in a fire accident in the kitchen of her home.
The fire broke out when on excessive pumping of stove by her, the kerosene came out with pressure and fell on her. In the mishap, she received about 35 percent injuries mostly on lower portion of the body.
Immediately after the incident, the family members shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. The Gandhi Nagar police has taken cognizance of the matter.
