RAJOURI, Mar 7: Police has arrested a woman and recovered 28 litres of illicit desi liquor during a routine patrolling operation in Sunderbani area.
According to police, a team from Police Station Sunderbani received specific information that Rajinder Singh, son of Prem Nath, along with his wife Satpal Kour, residents of Saleri in tehsil Beripattan, were allegedly selling illicit liquor from their shop.
Acting on the information, a police party headed by ASI Yudhvir Singh along with women police officials conducted a raid at the shop in village Saleri and seized 14 bottles containing two litres each of illicit desi liquor, totaling 28 litres.
During the raid, Satpal Kour, wife of Rajinder Singh, was arrested on the spot. Police have registered a case under FIR Number 12/2026 under Sections 48(a) and 48(f) of the Excise Act at Police Station Sunderbani, and started further investigation.
