POONCH, Jan 5: Dead body of a 25-year-old woman was found under suspicious circumstances in Jandrola area of Tehsil Mandi of district Poonch today.
Information revealed that at about 3:00 AM, the dead body of a woman was found in her house at Jandrola which was taken to SDH Mandi by the family, after receiving the information J&K Police reached hospital and shifted dead body to District Hospital Poonch where post-mortem was performed and body was later hander over to family for last rites through police.
Officials have identified deceased as Asia Kouser, wife of Mohd Jahangir. The parents of the deceased woman have alleged murder and urged Police to investigate the matter.
Station House Officer, Sham Lal said that a case under FIR number 03/2025 has been registered at Mandi Police Station in this connection.
